In addition to completely grounding static electricity, the danger of workers accidentally being electrically shocked must be prevented by all means. We have set the lowest acceptable resistance as 105Ω for protecting workers. Recently, static decay time is regarded as important. Shorter decay time is not necessarily better for worker safety. A worker typically takes at least 0.2 seconds to start the next action. Anti-static protection is thus sufficient if static electricity is eliminated within the 0.2 seconds. |

Conducting materials and antistatic agents are mainly used in anti-static products. Performances for removing or reducing static electricity differ, depending on the grades of materials or agents. Selecting appropriate anti-static products for their intended application is necessary.
We have classified our anti-static products into two classes, Classes 1 and 2, depending on their electric characteristics, i.e. surface resistance (Ω) and static decay time. |
